1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

a) Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, your store domain (e.g. yourshop.etsy.com or yourstore.myshopify.com), and your chosen plan and billing preferences.

b) Store data accessed via OAuth. When you connect your Etsy or Shopify store, we access active product listings (title, tags, description, meta fields, view counts where available) and store-level metadata (store name, currency, language settings). We do NOT access customer data, order data, payment information, buyer contact details, or shipping addresses from your store.

c) Payment information.We use Hyp Platform Ltd. (“Hyp”) as our payment processor. When you pay, Hyp collects your billing information directly — we never see or store your credit card number. We only receive the transaction status and a payment identifier.

d) Technical data. Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. Used only for security and debugging.

e) Cookies. We use only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on our marketing site. The Meta Pixel may be deployed on the marketing site for ad campaign measurement; this is disclosed in the cookie banner.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate SEO reports for your store
• Deliver reports by email as an Excel (.xlsx) attachment
• Push approved listing updates to Etsy or Shopify through the included Auto-Apply dashboard
• Process payments via Hyp
• Reply to your support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. What we do not do

• We do NOT sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We do NOT share your store data with advertisers or marketers.
• We do NOT use your store data, your product copy, or your customer data to train any AI model — ours or any third party's.
• We do NOT access customer order history, buyer details, or financial data from your Etsy or Shopify store.

5. Who we share data with

We share limited data only with these service providers, strictly to operate the Service:

• Hyp Platform Ltd. — payment processing
• PrivateEmail (Namecheap, Inc.) — outbound email delivery for your reports
• Anthropic PBC — AI model used to generate listing rewrites; data sent is your product copy + keyword data only. Anthropic does not train on this data per its API terms.
• Modal Labs Inc. — keyword data storage (per-tenant isolated)
• Vercel Inc. — frontend hosting
• Railway Corp. — backend hosting
• Etsy and Shopify — when you authorize OAuth, those platforms receive standard OAuth callbacks from us.

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy commitments. We do not authorize any of them to use your data for their own purposes.

6. Where your data is stored

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States (Vercel, Railway, Modal, Anthropic). If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions with cross-border transfer restrictions, by using the Service you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

7. How long we keep your data

• Account data: while your account is active, plus 12 months after cancellation for billing and tax record purposes.
• Store data: while your subscription is active. When you cancel, we retain your data for 30 days (in case you reactivate), then delete it.
• Past report emails: stay in your inbox — we never delete them. You control them.
• Payment records: 7 years (legal requirement).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing or withdraw consent
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@simplyautomated.co. We will respond within 30 days.

You can also disconnect Etsy or Shopify access directly from those platforms' app permissions pages at any time.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security: HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted databases at rest, OAuth tokens stored encrypted per tenant, and isolated data per tenant. We never store your Etsy or Shopify password. No system is 100% secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.

10. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, send you an email notification.
